since 2012 : Redefining Urban Cycling with Dutch Elegance

Founded in 2012 in Amsterdam by entrepreneur Ferry Zonder, Veloretti was born out of a desire to revive the elegance of classic city bikes while adapting them to modern urban life. Zonder, frustrated by the lack of bicycles that felt both lightweight, durable, and beautifully designed, created Veloretti as a brand that would celebrate the heritage of Dutch cycling culture while embracing contemporary engineering and finishes.

What began as a small direct-to-consumer startup quickly resonated with riders who wanted more than just transportation. Veloretti bikes became symbols of style, simplicity, and everyday practicality for a new generation of urban cyclists.

about Veloretti

Veloretti’s identity is anchored in design-led minimalism and daily usability. Every detail is considered, from clean lines and understated colour palettes to powder-coated aluminium frames that resist the rigours of city riding. The brand eschews passing trends, instead focusing on timeless silhouettes that remain appealing year after year.

Each model is designed to withstand daily use, featuring integrated lights, belt drives, and low-maintenance components, ensuring a seamless fit into modern city routines. The goal is not to follow seasonal fashion cycles but to create bikes that become lasting companions in everyday life.

Products

Veloretti’s product world spans stylish city bikes, advanced electric bikes, kids’ bikes, and coordinated accessories, all unified by a clean and minimalist aesthetic.

Its city models, such as the Robyn and Caféracer, are lightweight aluminium bikes with classic Dutch geometry and smooth city-ready components. At the same time, its electric range, encompassing the Ivy Two and Ace Two in both Pro and Lite versions, features Bafang mid-drive motors, 540 Wh batteries, Shimano hydraulic disc brakes, and either Enviolo stepless gear hubs or low-maintenance Gates belt drives.

The lineup is rounded out with lightweight, safety-focused kids’ bikes that echo the adult designs, along with thoughtfully designed accessories such as racks, baskets, helmets, and locks that carry through the brand’s polished visual identity.
