Frama
since 2011 : Where Design Meets Self-Care Rituals
Founded in Copenhagen in 2011 by Niels Strøyer Christophersen, Frama began as a small creative studio rooted in interiors and furniture. From the outset, the studio’s ambition was clear: to merge tradition with modernity, letting natural materials and tactile craftsmanship speak through clean geometry and timeless form.
The defining moment came when Frama moved into a former 19th-century apothecary in Copenhagen’s Nyboder district. The historic wooden cabinets, glass jars, and preserved details didn’t just become a backdrop; they transformed into inspiration. Out of this living laboratory grew the St. Paul's Apothecary Collection, marking Frama’s expansion into self-care and fragrance, and establishing the brand as something far more than a furniture maker. From furniture to skincare, lighting to books, Frama has evolved into a multi-disciplinary maison dedicated to design in its broadest, most sensorial sense.

about frama
Frama is best understood as a holistic design house, a studio that considers how objects, spaces, and rituals shape human experience. Its ethos blends:
Scandinavian minimalism : pared-back forms, muted tones, raw materials
Craft and heritage : local production, traditional woodworking, glassmaking, and tactility
Holistic living : not just products, but entire ecosystems of design and ritual

Products
The Frama universe spans furniture, lighting, and tableware, but also extends into fragrance, skincare, books, and architecture. Each piece, whether a hand lotion or a chair, is intended to be lived with for decades, grounding the everyday in sensory richness and timeless design.

The Self-Care and Apothecary Collection
Launched in 2016, the St. Paul's Apothecary Collection is a natural extension of the brand’s heritage space. A continuation of herbal care traditions, it reinterprets the apothecary’s role for the modern era.
Key Products
Hand & Body Care
The signature Apothecary Hand Wash and Lotion (sandalwood, cedarwood, ylang-ylang) alongside the Herbarium line (developed with Seoul studio Be My Guest) with bright citrus, rose, and musk.
Fragrance
Herbarium Eau de Parfum. Botanical, green, floral, and St. Pauls Eau de Parfum, a warm, resinous tribute to apothecary roots.
Home Fragrance
Candles, room mists, and incense designed to carry the Frama atmosphere into every corner of the home.
Ritual Tools
Minimalist bathroom accessories and refillable glass vessels align seamlessly with Frama interiors.
Formulated in Denmark with plant-based ingredients, the line is free of parabens and synthetic coloring. Each scent is designed as an atmosphere, evoking landscapes and emotions. Bottled in Italian glass with restrained labels, the packaging is as beautiful on a bookshelf as it is in a bathroom. A refill philosophy underscores sustainability and long-term design ethics.

why frama
Frama’s philosophy extends beyond aesthetics into lifestyle and culture.
Living Slow : Elevating daily gestures into rituals of presence.
Connection to Nature : Materials like wood, stone, and glass echo the botanical ingredients of its skincare.
Sustainability : Durable design replaces seasonal novelty; recyclable glass and refill systems reflect a low-impact ethos.
Holistic Cohesion : Whether through a candle, chair, or interior, every element of Frama shares the same minimalist DNA.
In essence, Frama creates objects and rituals that nourish both body and spirit.
