Extreme Cashmere
since2016 : Amsterdam’s Radical Take on Luxury Knitwear
Founded in 2016 in Amsterdam by Saskia Dijkstra, Extreme Cashmere was born from a deeply personal inspiration. At 16, Dijkstra “borrowed” her father’s navy cashmere sweater, an act that sparked a lifelong pursuit of creating the perfect knit. After two decades in the cashmere industry producing for global luxury houses, she decided to build her label — one that would challenge conventions of size, gender, and seasonality.
The brand’s very first design, the Crew Hop jumper, revealed its defining philosophy almost by accident. It seemed to flatter everyone who tried it on, regardless of body type or age. This became the foundation for Extreme Cashmere’s ethos: one-size-fits-all luxury knitwear designed for everybody and every body.

about Extreme Cashmere
Extreme Cashmere is a genderless, unisize knitwear brand rooted in uncompromising quality, inclusive design, and slow-fashion values. “No limits, no concessions,” reflects a refusal to compromise on materials, craftsmanship, or creative integrity. The result is knitwear that feels timeless yet expressive, as much about color and comfort as it is about technical mastery.
From its Amsterdam base, the label has become a modern luxury disruptor, celebrated for rethinking not only how cashmere is made, but how it’s worn and cared for.

Products
Extreme Cashmere offers a wide-ranging collection that spans sweaters, cardigans, dresses, trousers, skirts, jackets, and accessories such as scarves and bandanas. Each piece is crafted with premium cashmere from Inner Mongolia, known for long fibers and rich texture, sometimes blended with elastane or cotton for stretch and durability.
The Crew Hop jumper remains an enduring bestseller, joined by oversized favorites like the Xtra sweater and vibrant cashmere bandanas. Unisize silhouettes with built-in stretch are designed to move with the wearer, while a spectrum of more than 30 colors — from soft chalk to sherbet lemon — allows customers to build playful, seasonless wardrobes. Beyond garments, the brand has pioneered a care-first philosophy, providing combs with each piece, hosting “cashmere spa” pop-ups, and even installing in-store Miele washing stations to educate customers on garment longevity.

why Extreme Cashmere
At its heart, Extreme Cashmere is about inclusivity and uncompromising craft. By focusing on unisize, genderless designs, the brand removes fashion’s traditional boundaries. Its discreet approach to branding (even labels can be cut out) reflects a belief that the product should speak for itself.
The company’s slow-fashion values are evident in its minimal discounting, ethical sourcing, and emphasis on durability. Customers are encouraged to view their knits as long-term companions rather than seasonal purchases, supported by the brand’s unique emphasis on education and community.
