Cado
since 2011: Japan’s Lifestyle-Tech Pioneer
Cado was founded in Tokyo in 2011 by Noriyuki Koga, a former Sony executive, and Ken Suzuki, a celebrated designer of amadana fame. Together they set out with a mission to fuse cutting-edge technology with refined design, creating products that don’t just serve a function, but actively shape the atmosphere of a space.
Their debut air purifier in 2012 quickly made headlines with a world-leading CADR rating, positioning Cado as more than an appliance maker. From the very beginning, it defined itself as a brand rooted in the synergy of “technology × design.”

about cado
“Design for Atmosphere”
Cado’s guiding mantra is simple yet distinctive: “We design for atmosphere.” Appliances, in their view, should be as aesthetically compelling as they are technologically advanced. Each product is imagined not just as a household utility, but as a design object that elevates a room — minimalist, high-performing, and seamlessly integrated into daily life.
This philosophy has earned Cado international design recognition, including Red Dot Awards and iF Design accolades, proving that its commitment to beauty and performance resonates on a global scale.

Technological & Design Distinction
At the heart of Cado’s innovation is PHOTOCLEA™, its proprietary photocatalytic purification system that delivers cleaner, longer-lasting air filtration. The brand consistently marries breakthrough science with a minimalist design ethos, setting itself apart in an industry where performance and aesthetics are rarely balanced.
Its products have not only earned international design awards but also a reputation for creating a uniquely Japanese approach to lifestyle technology — precise, subtle, and human-centric.
Cado maintains a careful balance between Made-in-Japan craftsmanship for its premium flagship models and Made-in-China production for scalable offerings. This hybrid strategy ensures it remains competitive while preserving the prestige of Japanese quality for its halo products.
