The Ashley & Co. story began in Auckland in 2005, when founder Jackie Ashley started experimenting with handcrafted “potions” in her suburban garage. Inspired by her Hong Kong childhood, alive with incense, teas, colors, and rituals, Jackie sought to re-create that sensory richness through scent. Soon, her husband Ben, a graphic designer, joined to shape the brand’s packaging and visual identity. What started as a passion project quickly bloomed into one of Australasia’s most distinctive fragrance houses.
